Chair, Emerging Medicine Pillar

Dr. Ricky Vogel, PharmD

Dr. Ricky Vogel, PharmD, serves as Chair of the Emerging Medicine Pillar for the Alliance for Responsible Medicine, where he leads ARM's efforts to track, evaluate, and responsibly integrate novel, evidence-based therapies — including peptide therapeutics and psychedelic-assisted treatment — into safe, compliant clinical practice.

Dr. Vogel brings to this role a career built at the intersection of clinical pharmacy and enterprise regulatory compliance. He currently oversees enterprise pharmacy compliance, regulatory governance, and operational alignment across pharmacy operations processing approximately 375,000 prescriptions monthly, spanning high-volume mail order and Category 3 sterile compounding. His background includes multi-state pharmacy operations, mail order and compounding governance, controlled substance operations, inspection readiness and quality systems, and pharmacy licensing strategy — experience gained while leading enterprise compliance buildouts, cleanroom expansion, and workflow redesign across rapidly scaling, highly regulated pharmacy environments.

That combination of clinical training and regulatory depth is directly relevant to the work of the Emerging Medicine Pillar. Novel therapies like peptides frequently move through the healthcare system via compounding channels, controlled substance protocols, and multi-state licensing frameworks — the same terrain Dr. Vogel has spent his career navigating from both the pharmacist's and the compliance leader's perspective. His focus at ARM is ensuring that as these therapies gain clinical traction responsibly, they are delivered through pharmacy infrastructure that meets the same standards of compliance, inspection readiness, and patient safety that govern the rest of regulated medicine.

Dr. Vogel is passionate about building scalable organizations within medicine that balance operational growth, regulatory compliance, and patient safety — a philosophy that anchors ARM's approach to emerging medicine: innovation pursued responsibly, within a framework built for clinical rigor and accountability.
